Research Tech Lab – Session 2: Data collection: Informed consent and other legal aspects
Tuesday, 11. May 2021, 16:00-17:30 Uhr

The overarching topic of this semester is “Research Data Management: practices and open issues”. We will explore the field of Research Data Management with a practice-based approach starting from open issues that have been raised by some of our CRC projects in other meetings and workshops. We will pay special attention to the extra (digital) challenges brought by the Corona pandemic (i.e.: session 3). We also organized the format in order to engage some experts from our institution (i.e.: Christina Schumann (Data Protection Office) and Bastian Weiß (University Library Siegen, E-Science Service) to initiate, if you wish, an institutional conversation related to research data (management), its meanings and consequences. So, even though RDM topic is not among the ‘sexiest’, I still hope that the format – and our approach – will interest you and lead to useful conversations.

Short input: Timo Kaerlein (CRC coordination)

Invited project: B06 with David Waldecker and Tim Moritz Hector
