Jutta Wiesemann is Professor of Educational Sciences specialising in primary and pre-school education at the Department of Educational Science and Psychology, University of Siegen. She is the Principal Investigator of subproject B05 “Early Childhood and Smartphone” within the Collaborative Research Centre 1187 “Media of Cooperation.”
After studying primary education and passing her state examination at the University of Bielefeld, Jutta Wiesemann went on to complete her PhD in educational sciences with the support of a scholarship from the DFG.
From 2011 to 2015, Jutta Wiesemann was the founding director of the University of Siegen’s Centre for Teacher Training and Education Research (ZLB), and was responsible for restructuring the university’s teaching degrees into modular BA and MA courses, as well as the institutionalising its education research programme. Her own research investigates the how learning processes are mediated and their materiality.
