The young generation of today is growing up around interactive media. This leads to them favoring expression through content production, collaborative problem-solving and other peer-to-peer activities. Therefore, digital pedagogy, playful learning, gamification and educational digital games are gradually becoming part of the toolkit of teachers globally.
In this Workshop, there will be some cultural game studies impulse presentations on select topics concerning digital games like game design, digital tools for communication, gaming cultures online as well as multiplayer gaming, streaming and Let’s Play videos. Following these presentations, the participants will have the opportunity to try exemplary games and technologies.
