Sheree May Saßmannshausen studied media informatics at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees and during her studies she has specialized herself in the field of human-computer interaction. From 2013 to 2019 she worked in her university in the Laboratory for Media Informatics as a student and research assistant. Her job was to supervise development projects of interactive systems as well as projects in the modules of human-computer interaction and web-based applications. During and after her studies, she was additionally employed as a user experience designer in Cologne for 1.5 years. Since 2019, she is a research associate at the University of Siegen and works in the EFRE/EU-funded research project Creactive Citizen, which aims to support citizen participation through digital tools in the context of infrastructure projects as well as urban and regional development projects. Part of the project is also the use of innovative technologies such as augmented reality.
