Car
Siegen can be reached via Autobahn A 4 (Cologne-Olpe) and A 45 (Dortmund-Giessen/Frankfurt).
Coming from Giessen/Frankfurt, you reach Campus Herrengarten via Federal Highway 54 “Hüttentalstraße” (HTS). Follow the signs to “Siegen Zentrum”.
Coming from Cologne, remain on Autobahn A 4 at the Olpe-Süd interchange. If you come on the A 45 from the direction of Dortmund, take the A 4 toward Kreuztal/Siegen-Nord at the Olpe-Süd interchange; the A 4 becomes the B 54 (Hüttentalstraße). Here, too, follow the signs to “Siegen Zentrum”.
Parking
The building US-S (Obergraben 25, 57072 Siegen), has limited parking space. We recommend driving to the car park Altstadt (Löhrtor), Reichwalds Ecke, or Apollo Theater.

Bus or Train
Siegen is located on the Essen-Hagen-Siegen and Cologne-Siegen-Giessen railway lines. For tickets and route planning, please use the Deutsche Bahn website and/or the DB Navigator App. An alternative to Deutsche Bahn is FlixBus/Train. Within the city of Siegen the VWS buses can be used.
The building US-S (Obergraben 25, 57072 Siegen) is 8 minutes away from Siegen Main Train and Bus Station by foot.

Airport and Airport Shuttle
The nearest airports are in Frankfurt am Main (FRA) and Cologne/Bonn (CGN). Each is about 2 hours by car or 2 ½ hours by train from Siegen.
Coming from Frankfurt Airport, take the train to Frankfurt Main Train Station in the city. Transfer there to a train to Siegen. Depending on the train, you may have to transfer again in Giessen. The earliest train departs at 4:32 a.m. and the last at 9:02 p.m. A one-way ticket costs from about 35 €.
Coming from Cologne/Bonn Airport, take a train to Troisdorf. There you change to a train to Siegen. The earliest from Troisdorf departs at 6:41 a.m. and the last leaves Troisdorf at 11:41 p.m. A one-way journey costs around 20 €.

Siegen
When you’re in Siegen, why don’t you stay and take a look at the city and its surroundings? Siegen is known for its forests and mountains with several hiking trails such as the Rothaarsteig. In Ruben’s birthplace, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MGK) is well worth a visit. You can explore the historic old town with a guided night watchman tour (booking required) in the evening and visit the upper Castle (Oberes Schloss) with its Siegerland museum after a stroll around the weekly market under the Krönchen (Nikolaikirche) on the market square on Wednesday (11 am – 5 pm) or Saturday (7 am – 1 pm) and round off the day with a cool drink on the edge of the Siegufer or the market square in the evening.
